In one attack, the defendant hit the woman with a hookah and a metal bread box, allege prosecutors

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Twice last month, a Brooklyn man battered a Staten Island woman in her home with his fists and several household items, prosecutors allege.

Keimer Holder, 35, of the 1200 block of Bedford Avenue, even bit the victim, allege prosecutors.

Holder was arrested after the second attack, said court records.

A criminal complaint said the first assault occurred at 3 p.m. on June 18.

The defendant entered the woman’s apartment in violation of an order of protection forbidding contact with her, said the complaint.

Holder struck the 34-year-old victim multiple times in the head with a hookah and hit her with a metal bread box, the complaint said.

The defendant also bit the woman on the right hand, said the complaint.

The victim suffered a large laceration to her head requiring medical staples at the hospital, the complaint said.

Holder allegedly returned to the woman’s home nine days later at about 8:30 a.m.

He punched her in the face and hit her with an extension cord, causing bruising and redness to her right arm, said the complaint.

The defendant was indicted on multiple charges, including first-degree burglary, assault, aggravated criminal contempt, criminal mischief, criminal weapon possession and child endangerment.

The burglary charge accuses him of knowingly entering the victim’s home with the intent to commit a crime.

The child endangerment charge was levied because two children under age 17 were inside the apartment.

Holder pleaded not guilty to the charges at his arraignment Wednesday in state Supreme Court, St. George.

He remains free on $20,000 bail, online state court records show. His next court date is Aug. 9.

Holder’s lawyer did not immediately comment on the case.
